Having concrete floors throughout was an innovative design consideration as this surface flows right through to the shower. However, this approach meant that the pour had to be done with absolute precision. The walls are made of concrete and have a rough, textured finish. The floor is also made of concrete and has a polished finish. There is a large window on one wall that lets in a lot of natural light. The lighting fixtures are recessed into the ceiling and provide a warm, diffused glow. There is a large mirror on one wall that reflects the light and makes the space feel larger. The design brief spoke of making this feel like a room, not a typical wet room.
